Course:Watanabe Practical Shoulder Arthroscopy Course – Advanced Techniques
Date:19 - 20 March 2019
Course convened by:Phil Ahrens
Details:

The Watanabe Club is an informal non-affiliated group of dedicated shoulder arthroscopists who are committed to developing training in shoulder arthroscopy in the UK.

The purpose of this course is to bridge the gap between ‘advanced shoulder arthroscopy courses’ and life as a shoulder consultant dealing with those rarer shoulder conditions that only usually get a short mention in advanced shoulder courses!

This course is aimed at experienced shoulder arthroscopists who want to develop/discuss rarer conditions eg posterior instability, suprascapular nerve releases etc. Ideal candidate is Shoulder Consultant in first 3-4 years of practice.

Complex instability,  Posterior Instability, arthroscopic Latarjet, SLAP tears and Biceps tenodesis. Comparison of different methods of rotator cuff repair, how to manage the  massive rotator cuff tear, Suprascapular nerve release.

The course will involve lecture based discussions but is primarily a wet lab course with ample opportunity to practice the techniques taught in the Expert Connect Centre.

Please note that delegates should have attended the Watanabe Reconstructive Course before 19 March 2019 and/or have reasonable clinical and practical experience. Due to course Convener's requirements you are unable to register to attend both courses as the courses are designed to be attended at different intervals.

Places are limited so early registration is encouraged. Please note the course fee includes a course dinner on the evening of Tuesday, 19 March 2019 and course materials. It is your responsability to cover your own travel or accommodation.
